[SPEAKER_00]: I was a little late to the party.

[SPEAKER_00]: Um, if I told you what I was doing, you'd probably shake your head or you'd just accept the fact that I am me.

[SPEAKER_01]: You made a mistake.

[SPEAKER_01]: You made a mistake post in the show today.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'm not as bad as the mistake I made post in the show yesterday.

[SPEAKER_01]: What did you make mistake yesterday?

[SPEAKER_01]: I did something in audition where I shifted everything except my own voice.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, no.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I got a message from someone, do they not hear you?

[SPEAKER_00]: I've done it.

[SPEAKER_01]: I've done it.

[SPEAKER_01]: And trust me if there are mistakes to be made I've done it took me about 10 minutes and then I got to show down got it back up and thankfully It did not get like I got it fixed in time that I did not get the flow flood of emails That's that's very important that is because they will they will hit you like a cast Even water that's enough that Mike didn't find out

[SPEAKER_00]: Also great and he won't listen to this so we're fine.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I wasn't referring to my grievous error.

[SPEAKER_00]: I was referring to something I was doing for pleasure, which is okay.

[SPEAKER_00]: I got my ice cream from Ben and Jerry's today.

[SPEAKER_01]: Oh, I That's that's something you gotta get you gotta get in the freezer before it melts

[SPEAKER_00]: Right, well mine was great because I'm in DC it's practically freezing outside now So it's not real cold, but it was fun.

[SPEAKER_00]: It was rock solid, but as you know ice cream is shipped with dry ice pellets Yes, so I had to go outside and pour hot water on them to make fog and then I started thinking about This is a huge box.

[SPEAKER_00]: I've got to get rid of this and it's trash day and the trash man haven't come But then I carried a box out to my trash But look like it was on fire

[SPEAKER_00]: Because if you pour the hot water, it makes you smoke.

[SPEAKER_00]: And I really did, I looked like I was going to some sort of sacrifice with a big 18-inch square box cube with smoke just pouring out of it.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I dumped it in the street.

[SPEAKER_01]: I'll go away.

[SPEAKER_01]: It's just carbon dioxide.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I know it's still a month until we're supposed to talk about these Ben and Jerry things.

[SPEAKER_01]: But I saw the announcement yesterday that it's four new Sunday flavors.

[SPEAKER_01]: Is that what's in the box?

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes, including one that I am really excited about, my favorite ice cream probably all around.

[SPEAKER_01]: They are not yesterday, so I'm sure we can talk about them.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, yeah.

[SPEAKER_00]: If I had to pick like one generic ice cream parlor flavor now, if my go-to is cherry Garcia, but they've launched a Ben and Jerry's strawberry ice cream and I love strawberry ice cream.

[SPEAKER_01]: Strawberry ice cream is my favorite as well.

[SPEAKER_01]: No way!

[SPEAKER_01]: That's great!

[SPEAKER_01]: My favorite Ben and Jerry is, well, second favorite is the strawberry cheesecake.

[SPEAKER_00]: That's it.

[SPEAKER_00]: Well, I mean, they're all great.

[SPEAKER_00]: Yes.

[SPEAKER_00]: But I remember when I was working, I had a reputation in a previous life of being sort of the old man around kids and like they didn't believe that I had seen like a fallout boy in concert.

[SPEAKER_00]: They said, you're too old.

[SPEAKER_00]: I said, I have a daughter.

[SPEAKER_00]: I can do that.

[SPEAKER_00]: So I had the reputation of being an old man and they said, what's your favorite Ben and Jerry's flavor?

[SPEAKER_00]: And I told them with pride, Cherry Garcia, and they said, they said, they said, it's an old man's life.

[SPEAKER_00]: It is.

[SPEAKER_01]: Totally totally an old man's life.

[SPEAKER_00]: At least I played into there to do suspicions.

[SPEAKER_00]: Do you ever do chunky monkey?

[SPEAKER_01]: On occasion, my go-to is peanut butter world, but that's a target exclusive.

[SPEAKER_01]: So I try to remember when I'm at target the grab a pint.

[SPEAKER_00]: Okay, that's a good point.

[SPEAKER_00]: I find that every flavor is great, but I also find that different stores have really bad ice cream organizational skills.

[SPEAKER_00]: Like if you're looking at all the pints, they don't match up on their their tags and they're out of some, sometimes it's very it seems to me.

[SPEAKER_01]: My wife got mad at me last week, because she requested a specific kind of ice cream. [SPEAKER_01]: And I grabbed that kind of ice cream out of the freezer and I put it in my cart, but when I got home, it was the wrong flavor. [SPEAKER_01]: how did that happen all I can figure is the freezer was disorganized and I saw a stack of the whatever chocolate so I grabbed it one out of the stack and that one in the stack was not the right flavor. [SPEAKER_00]: No, I think you're gaslighting her. [SPEAKER_00]: I think you're trying to chop her crazy. [SPEAKER_01]: That or I'm on some type of prank youtube show and someone switched the ice cream in my car. [SPEAKER_00]: That's, you know, I spent a lot of time in grocery stores. [SPEAKER_00]: That's what, that was my job during the college. [SPEAKER_00]: So, and my mom, as a lifetime, safeway lady, who she was the front end manager, and she got bought out by the company because she was a union employee. [SPEAKER_00]: So, she got a nice fat check to quit. [SPEAKER_00]: I missed out on a union, [SPEAKER_00]: by like, I think it was like, seriously three months and I was going to quit anyway. [SPEAKER_00]: That's how I missed my money. [SPEAKER_00]: But yeah, so I love grocery stores. [SPEAKER_00]: And I would love to do that. [SPEAKER_00]: And it would have to just be a subtle change. [SPEAKER_01]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: Like, like, you know, a clean flavor. [SPEAKER_00]: A nice cream flavor or like a a different size box of cereal of the same cereal. [SPEAKER_01]: Right. [SPEAKER_01]: But it's such a subtle change that there's no payoff. [SPEAKER_01]: The person does not discover it till they get home. [SPEAKER_00]: Well, that's why you have to have a camera at their house. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I like these subtle, I like these subtle move of dropping like a box of condoms and someone's cart. [SPEAKER_01]: because they won't recognize that until they're loaded up the conveyor belt. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, you're right. [SPEAKER_00]: I used my shift when I was in Richmond when I was working at Safeway was horrible. [SPEAKER_00]: It was four to close, four PM to closing, which was midnight and then a half hour to clean stuff up. [SPEAKER_00]: And I had an older, not old, but an older couple comes through my line and all they had was condoms and whipped cream. [SPEAKER_00]: And I just said, big night. [SPEAKER_00]: and the uh... management says don't comment on their groceries don't do that i got i also but there was something i know you almost have to the one thing that the management enjoyed is [SPEAKER_00]: when you're in a college town as Richmond was and this was the safe it's now the school of agriculture that's what they turn the safer but they they would do the end units and the college kids would shop during the day and then you wouldn't see them until like quarter to twelve because that's when you stop selling beer and there'd be a big rush but [SPEAKER_00]: Before that, I'd spend a lot of time just hanging out if the beer, I would work the beer case if the beer case was full, I'd just hung out in my checkstand waiting for someone to come in and I would get on the intercom and make announcements about specials to entertain myself. [SPEAKER_00]: And they actually liked that, but other than that, but we were talking about ice cream. [SPEAKER_00]: And I will use that to pivot. [SPEAKER_00]: because one of the problems I have with a certain box store is they don't have flavored ice cream Costco only sells vanilla ice cream now and then the novelty product the novelty products but that it is the best vanilla ice cream I think but it's very limited sometimes you want a chocolate or as we said strawberry [SPEAKER_00]: So we're here to talk and it was mentioned on today's show today being Wednesday the 29th that you may or may not be getting a birthday gift. [SPEAKER_00]: Yes. [SPEAKER_00]: That comes from Costco. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, and I was, you know what, I can do it right now. [SPEAKER_01]: I was supposed to check the app to see if they had the, had it that other Costco's in the area. [SPEAKER_00]: I'd love to give you a hard time about the app, but I have the app as well. [SPEAKER_01]: Well, I use the, I lost my Costco card, so I use the app to scan in when I go into the store. [SPEAKER_00]: How did you lose your Costco card? [SPEAKER_01]: I don't know, it's just somewhere here. [SPEAKER_01]: It's in a drawer, it's in the card, and you don't keep it in your wallet? [SPEAKER_01]: No, no. [SPEAKER_00]: It's always in the top three cards in my wallet. [SPEAKER_01]: My card, I keep two cards in my wallet. [SPEAKER_01]: I keep a debit card and a driver's license. [SPEAKER_00]: Not a credit card. [SPEAKER_00]: In case the debit card goes bad. [SPEAKER_01]: No, I have credit card in the car. [SPEAKER_00]: OK, that counts, that counts, that's good. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I've got, well, I hate to bring up the fact again that I have an old man wallet. [SPEAKER_00]: So I have lots of cards in it, but the ones that are prioritized are licensed Costco and debit. [SPEAKER_01]: All right, let's see, check nearby warehouses, minimize zip code. [SPEAKER_00]: And you're lucky, you're in Florida. [SPEAKER_00]: So your Costco sell booze. [SPEAKER_00]: Do they have like the separate liquor store outside of Costco? [SPEAKER_01]: They do not. [SPEAKER_00]: OK, because I went to Moscow. [SPEAKER_00]: I went to with Mike and they had like a liquor store. [SPEAKER_00]: Oh, the liquor store? [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, that was like attached. [SPEAKER_01]: That is not. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, like publics and wind mixing all have that Costco does not. [SPEAKER_00]: Yeah, I remember I almost, I used to drink Josh and when I went to Maine for the first time with Mike and we went to a grocery store and there on the aisle next to like potato chips and cookies was just an aisle of liquor. [SPEAKER_00]: And as someone who's raised in Virginia, it's very shocking to see it there. [SPEAKER_00]: So, but it doesn't really affect me anymore. [SPEAKER_01]: I'm very easy. [SPEAKER_01]: Yeah, but it is not available in any stores within 90 miles. [SPEAKER_00]: Do they ship? [SPEAKER_01]: They do ship. [SPEAKER_00]: So it says I can ship it to my think you should and if you do put it if there's a note people were talking about a a hot tub here. [SPEAKER_00]: We should say this if they have it revealed but sometimes you can have like shipping notes put do not deliver this filled with water. [SPEAKER_00]: Because it would really cut down on shipping if it's see. [SPEAKER_01]: I was thinking I would add the hot tub strawberries and whipped cream and would you say condoms to my water. [SPEAKER_00]: That'd be great. [SPEAKER_01]: And make it a real nice packet. [SPEAKER_00]: and also get like 400 gallons of Kirkland water being put in the hot tub.
