Show notes

Mike's joy is doing this show... but his studio is NOT his happy place; he's just not wired that way. Famous Dave's is not so great. Should we be making AI Clips of the dead or is it profiteering? Mike gets a wellness check and Robb knows his jumpsuits. Weird. [SPEAKER_12]: Late night tonight.

[SPEAKER_12]: We're a sheep.

[SPEAKER_12]: A fellow cop leads pepper into a trap on police woman.

[SPEAKER_12]: Michael Merra, radio entertainment.

[SPEAKER_12]: You can listen to the Michael Merra show at michaelmerrashow.com.

[SPEAKER_12]: Wow, what a happy year.

[SPEAKER_16]: It's a podcast.

[SPEAKER_16]: Fine.

[SPEAKER_16]: I want to excitement.

[SPEAKER_16]: We have today.

[SPEAKER_12]: It's the Michael Merra Show with Michael Merra.

[SPEAKER_12]: And Rob Spiewack.

[SPEAKER_12]: Now here's my...

[SPEAKER_06]: What a difference a day man.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, sir.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's only a couple of hours.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, guys cover for me yesterday, and I'm gone for from this space, this delightful space.

[SPEAKER_04]: Would you call it your hat?

[SPEAKER_04]: Jackie, I live in your happy place that studio.

[SPEAKER_04]: Oh, you know what, F-no.

[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I wouldn't call my H-I-I-I will say this.

[SPEAKER_06]: I will say this, that I was discussing at the bus stop with my son this morning.

[SPEAKER_06]: The fact that the thing that brings me the most joy in my work is essentially looking at a blank page.

[SPEAKER_06]: And coming up with four, five, six things that I think will generate a content that will be hopefully stimulating in some way, whether it be amusing, whether it be thought provoking, that's what I do, and that to me,

[SPEAKER_06]: uh... sometimes early early early in the morning say five a.m.

[SPEAKER_06]: five thirty i'm looking at the page and i'm really starting from complete scratch having given it a tremendous amount of thought and then slowly but surely uh... through reading news and thinking about uh... the days that have gone by uh... things start to fall into place and then you know at the end when i realized that's enough

[SPEAKER_06]: That's the, that to me is my real contribution to what we do here more than anything else in my humble opinion and I really don't give a tremendous amount of thought to the technical end of things and that was rather soundly demonstrated.

[SPEAKER_06]: by immediately coming into the studio.

[SPEAKER_06]: And I have a very large 65-inch monitor in here, which I used to look at my pals, one from St.

[SPEAKER_06]: Augustine, and one from Leesburg.

[SPEAKER_06]: And when I came in today, the screen was on, and sometimes it is, and it was up and running in the windows that I have there, we're still there.

[SPEAKER_06]: I was gonna have to put different stuff in there.

[SPEAKER_06]: I have a teleprompter.

[SPEAKER_06]: I have lots of different stuff that I use.

[SPEAKER_06]: And then, by the time I came in and I sat down, it turned into a full-fledged estorn, and because, well, Rob will have a story about the human mind, probably the reason because of that.

[SPEAKER_06]: I suddenly was clueless as to how everything works, and all I knew is that I was unable to access everything I need to access to, you know, to throw this little thing on and talk to you guys and share our fine sponsors with you guys and, um,

[SPEAKER_04]: It was a big, you know, for us all of the fine sponsors, we have a starting time.

[SPEAKER_06]: I usually connect with the guys of 8 a.m.

[SPEAKER_06]: 8.05 and it was 8.05 and then 8.10 and then 8.15.

[SPEAKER_06]: Then a little about about 8.13, 8.14, the message goes out and let's see what I wrote because it was very, very, very, very, I was very cryptic.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, I was.

[SPEAKER_06]: I know I was.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's here somewhere.

[SPEAKER_06]: Come on.

[SPEAKER_06]: camera.

[SPEAKER_06]: No, you said camera is.

[SPEAKER_06]: I say.

[SPEAKER_06]: Sorry.

[SPEAKER_06]: Video is down.

[SPEAKER_06]: Now that to me that word that's used and when you say that.

[SPEAKER_06]: But down.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it to me, it's.

[SPEAKER_06]: abdicating the responsibility that you have video's not down.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: I can't get the video up or get the video.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's not down.

[SPEAKER_07]: Well, you're not a young man anymore.

[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_07]: It was explained like the internet's out.

[SPEAKER_07]: Like I can't control this video.
