[SPEAKER_04]: Michael Mera, Radio Entertainment.
[SPEAKER_02]: I had to get it again and now he'll all be here quiet with us.
[SPEAKER_02]: We will start the show.
[SPEAKER_04]: T. M. O. W. S. Classic Friday, flashback when I came back, they said that they were having a discussion on something they wanted to follow up on, which was about sex doll.
[SPEAKER_04]: So I put it on my show, prep for a solid week, a sex doll.
[SPEAKER_04]: follow up who and this is about a television show that uses a soap operas that used sex dolls as well as that was the start but also my dear remember if I say to you the phrase private island beauties do you remember that is that ring a bell
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, uh, it because that's the guy that brought the sex dolls into, uh, the studio right.
[SPEAKER_04]: And then it broke Oscars back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Remember the member.
[SPEAKER_03]: So realistic that right.
[SPEAKER_03]: You got a back injury.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yeah, putting the doll on Rob's lap.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's right, because this was before I had cured myself of being scared of wax figures, so it was like doubly creepy and upsetting.
[SPEAKER_05]: And so we had this whole thing in the studio with this guy, the brought in these ultra realistic sex dolls.
[SPEAKER_05]: But the reason we were talking about it is that they're fun.
[SPEAKER_05]: Uh, the first soap opera to come back.
[SPEAKER_03]: Flutters and surprisingly realistic.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, like you're gonna grow in a gross way.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_03]: There's a there's a craftsmanship to it.
[SPEAKER_03]: There is.
[SPEAKER_03]: You're just like, and this is, that if I was a lonely man and and I had, I mean, old style crap.
[SPEAKER_05]: The thing that I remember most about it is the way the skin felt.
[SPEAKER_05]: It was really, really weird, because it did have like a little bit of action against the skin.
[SPEAKER_04]: Anyway, we have a robot story or an AI story and news to me that need today, which should be kind of interesting about that, you know, that looks similar.
[SPEAKER_04]: Stameless.
[SPEAKER_05]: Yes.
[SPEAKER_05]: So the first soap opera to come back on an intermittent basis.
[SPEAKER_05]: And you know soap operas as you know, they have a real fast turnaround.
[SPEAKER_05]: So they have to like tape the day before they air is CBS is the bold and the beautiful.
[SPEAKER_05]: And they were trying to figure out the best way they could do intimate scenes in these days of COVID-19.
[SPEAKER_05]: And what they did is they pulled out what was a sex doll or a realistic love doll that they had used in a previous season as a corpse.
[SPEAKER_05]: And they outfitted it to look like one of the female cast members and they shot an intimate scene that along with the guy so it looked like they were in bed together and it was as I believe the phrase was from the executive and the voice I used was surprisingly realistic
[SPEAKER_04]: I would imagine if you shot it the right way, you could make anything look realistic and you certainly aren't going to bring CGI into a soap house to expensive to expense, although you know what it could be wrong about that.
[SPEAKER_03]: I could be wrong about that, but the buttons will not allow Mike, I think the reason why soap opera still are viable is because the cost of producers so cheap.
[SPEAKER_03]: I have the time watching, I have the time to turn it.
[SPEAKER_04]: watching old movies and wanting the days of CGI to go away.
[SPEAKER_04]: I liked it when they used real scenes where they really have to put the effort forward to not paint a movie.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think CGI can be absolutely brilliant, but also would go down with film historians.
[SPEAKER_04]: This is one of the great cop outs.
[SPEAKER_04]: Did you
[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
[SPEAKER_04]: I did.
[SPEAKER_04]: It's almost like your lips moved, you went.
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
[SPEAKER_04]: Something sad.
[SPEAKER_04]: Somebody on the way back.
[SPEAKER_05]: Did you mute yourself when you did that?
[SPEAKER_05]: No, because I thought it would be silent.
[SPEAKER_05]: And I think it was silent.
[SPEAKER_04]: I just saw, you know, you know, when you seek cartoons with their lips to go, yeah, yeah, yeah, it was almost like that.
[SPEAKER_04]: But I think CGI by and large is kind of a cop out when it's used to create like the entire town.
[SPEAKER_05]: I think the CGI is like like overly spiced food.
[SPEAKER_05]: If a food is like so hot, you can't even eat it.
[SPEAKER_03]: But I still love the food.
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, but you know what?
[SPEAKER_05]: It's better if it's used sparingly.
[SPEAKER_05]: That's when it's best.
[SPEAKER_05]: Okay, but I think it depends on the subject better.
[SPEAKER_04]: I think it would be an example of, I think, a pretty large scale use of CGI that kind of had to be done.
