[SPEAKER_04]: All right, welcome to our show.

[SPEAKER_04]: Michael Mera, Radio Entertainment.

[SPEAKER_04]: You can listen to the Michael Mera Show at MichaelMeraShow.com.

[SPEAKER_04]: Wow, what a happy year.

[SPEAKER_10]: It's a podcast fun.

[SPEAKER_10]: I want excitement.

[SPEAKER_10]: We have today.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's the Michael Mera Show with Michael Mera and Rob Spiewack.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now here's Mike.

[SPEAKER_04]: All right.

[SPEAKER_08]: Hi.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's, it's hot day.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, yeah, and of course he wears a hat to that.

[SPEAKER_08]: Oh my god.

[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you.

[SPEAKER_09]: I just wanted to promote this show.

[SPEAKER_09]: Only if you have an Orioles hat.

[SPEAKER_06]: Situational awareness Rob, that's all it is.

[SPEAKER_06]: Situational awareness.

[SPEAKER_06]: We had a bet that I would wear a hat if the Red Sox got swept by the Orioles and

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_06]: We'll get to the details of the game in a second here, but it was a long one, Josh.

[SPEAKER_06]: It was a lot, and I knew Josh would be up, so I texted him right after the game.

[SPEAKER_06]: And it was, was it an extra inning situation?

[SPEAKER_06]: It was a long game.

[SPEAKER_06]: Thank you for identifying that.

[SPEAKER_06]: Very good, non-sports guy.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's good.

[SPEAKER_06]: It was an extra inning game.

[SPEAKER_06]: Well, no, I mean, I'm spotlighting a hat and you put a hat on.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's just, you know, it's simple stuff.

[SPEAKER_06]: This is my rocket science.

[SPEAKER_09]: I understand.

[SPEAKER_06]: But yeah, you're correct, I believe.

[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I mean, I think that it's rare now for me outside of football season to have a sporting event really, really

[SPEAKER_06]: get to that feeling that where I have trouble winding down.

[SPEAKER_06]: So I don't like night games.

[SPEAKER_06]: It's why, uh, in the NFL, I hate it because if I get, if I get into a tense situation, winner lose, I'm going to be wound up until

[SPEAKER_06]: an hour at least minimum an hour afterwards, which I was last night and is that I hate to interrupt because I mean I've I've known people like this in my family.

[SPEAKER_08]: They get worked up and they can't go to bed.

[SPEAKER_08]: It's doesn't affect me because sports aren't important to me.

[SPEAKER_08]: Would you get that worked up if it was a night game if you didn't have a bet invested in it?

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, with the game last night.

[SPEAKER_06]: So the fact that the bet the bet was just added fuel to the fire.

[SPEAKER_05]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_06]: That was just because it was really a game that I didn't watch the whole game.

[SPEAKER_06]: I came in late because I thought the Red Sox were in their little malaise that they were in and when you load up the bases,

[SPEAKER_06]: three times and can't get one run across you got a bad team and I know they've had a lot of runs where they've done really well because they explode for like sixteen runs and then they can't hit an elephant in the ass with a broom and so

[SPEAKER_06]: and I'll ask our Orioles expert here.

[SPEAKER_06]: I am told they're catching the Orioles at a bad time because the Orioles are having a pretty good little run.

[SPEAKER_09]: The Orioles have been very hot for the past week or two.

[SPEAKER_09]: In fact, what's crazy is if you look at the Orioles schedule since the beginning of June, they're one of the top five baseball teams.

[SPEAKER_09]: Yeah, in baseball since June, they did so bad in April and May that they blew their whole season.

[SPEAKER_06]: They did.

[SPEAKER_06]: Wow.

[SPEAKER_06]: That's a bummer, but, you know, it's nice because you can make these little bets.

[SPEAKER_06]: And as Josh informed me, we will be able to revisit this rivalry in a very short time when the Red Sox go down to Baltimore for a four game series, which would be a real series.

[SPEAKER_06]: Not the two game, suck a thorn.

[SPEAKER_06]: That was in the same way last night.

[SPEAKER_08]: I guess Boston to Baltimore is not like a halfway point to Florida.
