[SPEAKER_04]: Two dads with two different start times for back to school in the middle of August.

[SPEAKER_04]: Almost the beginning of August.

[SPEAKER_04]: Well, technically the beginning of August with Josh Soroka, his son going back to school today and my son going back tomorrow because they have orientation today for the new students.

[SPEAKER_04]: So it's there.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's still

[SPEAKER_04]: very strange to me to think of this starting it just came up so quickly and so it's the early end of summer in the Omera household and in the Soroka household and the beginning of hurricane watch coincides with that I think I've identified now when we start becoming aware of watching the tropics to see what's going to happen and I the dance that they that they perform with the hurricane watches

[SPEAKER_04]: is at the very best tedious and are they arching anything right now?

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, at the very worst fear mongering because they won't tell you that they believe if this develops it'll go this way or that way.

[SPEAKER_04]: They really just want to get there.

[SPEAKER_04]: I watch the guy for maybe five, seven minutes yesterday.

[SPEAKER_04]: And finally, just turned it off.

[SPEAKER_04]: He was babbling to a degree that it was just he obviously wanted to fill the time.

[SPEAKER_03]: This wasn't on your wink news.

[SPEAKER_03]: Was it because they never stood in my head?

[SPEAKER_04]: No, no, they when you're in the areas that really get affected by it.

[SPEAKER_04]: Right.

[SPEAKER_04]: They don't do this.

[SPEAKER_04]: This guy was somewhere in Texas and it was streaming.

[SPEAKER_04]: You know, when they make generate more content on these TV stations, that because they like radio, they're just realizing what digital media is.

[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_04]: They need to get their content on there.

[SPEAKER_04]: And so they come out and they do that.

[SPEAKER_04]: But it is, it does coincide with that.

[SPEAKER_04]: Now on a related note, my bride has her annual pilgrimage

[SPEAKER_04]: to an exotic location.

[SPEAKER_04]: The prayer breakfast, which I am allowed to attend, and they're very nice resorts and very nice places.

[SPEAKER_04]: But the idea of late September, you know, sending us to the Caribbean is not something that I've got to deal with.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's like when CBS wanted to do our Christmas party in February.

[SPEAKER_03]: because they got a better deal than if they did it at Christmas time.

[SPEAKER_04]: Not like that with this company.

[SPEAKER_04]: It's the same time last year was in Mexico.

[SPEAKER_04]: I remember it's in the Dominican Republic next year.

[SPEAKER_03]: It's at lands down.

[SPEAKER_04]: I just it's strange and I guess technically it begins the start of travel season.

[SPEAKER_13]: It's always good to get there. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, but you get there in seven thirty. [SPEAKER_13]: Oh, yes, get there at some. [SPEAKER_04]: He's got summer brain. [SPEAKER_13]: We've had seven. [SPEAKER_04]: So what are your thoughts? [SPEAKER_04]: What are your thoughts? [SPEAKER_04]: You're, you know, you don't go today. [SPEAKER_04]: Josh's kid goes today. [SPEAKER_04]: So how do you feel? [SPEAKER_04]: How are you feeling about the end of summer? [SPEAKER_13]: It's, it's honestly I woke up and I was kind of depressed like immediately. [SPEAKER_03]: That's great to hear from a youngster, isn't it? [SPEAKER_03]: Well, I mean, it's school. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't remember. [SPEAKER_05]: How do you feel when you woke up? [SPEAKER_03]: I still depressed. [SPEAKER_03]: I don't think the pros act is working, actually. [SPEAKER_03]: So, you know what, you stay depressed and you'll do just fine young man. [SPEAKER_03]: Well into your fifties. [SPEAKER_03]: They'll find medication that they say will help, but all it will do is keep you up at night thinking about how it's all going to end. [SPEAKER_04]: Rob, here's what Rob's medicine does for him. [SPEAKER_04]: He, he's, he's still depressed, but he just doesn't care as much about it. [SPEAKER_04]: Exactly, accurate. [SPEAKER_04]: That's kind of what it is, right? [SPEAKER_03]: Pretty much. [SPEAKER_04]: That's a sad medication that's, that's, that's a pro. [SPEAKER_03]: What I love is that, you know, what you're giving away in sadness, you're, you're also giving away in happiness. [SPEAKER_03]: You always stay at sort of a zero. [SPEAKER_04]: We can do a whole show. [SPEAKER_04]: Yes, we can. [SPEAKER_04]: On anti-depressive medicine. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: But getting back to you and school. [SPEAKER_04]: Did you finish your book yet? [SPEAKER_13]: Oh, yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, what did he what did he write? [SPEAKER_04]: What did you read? [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, read. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_04]: He didn't write a novel. [SPEAKER_03]: I thought he finished it up over the summer. [SPEAKER_04]: I knew what's gone for a while now. [SPEAKER_04]: I can tell you. [SPEAKER_04]: But yeah, but he's advanced. [SPEAKER_04]: What did you what was your book? [SPEAKER_04]: You hated it. [SPEAKER_04]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_04]: And we probably shouldn't say, right? [SPEAKER_05]: We probably should. [SPEAKER_05]: No, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_05]: But many, that's a standard summer reading for a lot of middle schools. [SPEAKER_05]: Because I know my nephew had to read the exact same book. [SPEAKER_05]: Oh, really? [SPEAKER_05]: What book? [SPEAKER_05]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_13]: the book uh oh the name yeah okay uh it was called restart and it was i i just didn't like it i didn't i think i've heard of this book isn't this a guy who goes around fixing printers no i knew so much hope can you help me with making her today he unplugged it and restarted it i i that's great alright i love you wait wait i need one more thing yeah one more thing oh yeah what do you want to talk about pokey monor fishing pokey monor golf [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, what do you want to talk about? [SPEAKER_13]: That we got rained. [SPEAKER_13]: We got rained out the last time we were gonna. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, we did. [SPEAKER_04]: We got rained out. [SPEAKER_04]: It's that time of year down. [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, how would you rate the summer on a scale of one to ten? [SPEAKER_13]: Solid nine. [SPEAKER_04]: Wow. [SPEAKER_04]: That's terrific. [SPEAKER_04]: That's a good thing. [SPEAKER_04]: That's a good thing. [SPEAKER_04]: That's good. [SPEAKER_13]: It was a good summer. [SPEAKER_03]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_13]: A lot of people said it went by fast. [SPEAKER_13]: I don't feel like it went by fast. [SPEAKER_03]: Well, let me tell you this, Michael, as you get older, you'll find that the days are long. [SPEAKER_03]: But the years are short. [UNKNOWN]: Okay. [SPEAKER_03]: Now give me another pill. [SPEAKER_13]: Oh, by the way, Gorkas is having a mega sale today. [SPEAKER_04]: Okay, we'll go. [SPEAKER_03]: What the hell is Gorkas? [SPEAKER_03]: It's not a talking monster. [SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, of course. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a Pokemon store. [SPEAKER_04]: It's what we've lived this weekend. [SPEAKER_04]: What? [SPEAKER_04]: What? [SPEAKER_04]: Oh, God, he's coming, but okay, fine. [SPEAKER_04]: shy isn't easily he's now he's he's in a pretty good frame of mind for going back to school so uh... yeah i don't know if i wrote it down today because uh... we did the actual uh... i got rained out on saturday we got rained out on sunday morning rain and i'm talking about rain that uh... you know flooded out the people god love them on sanible island out in south was florida that had flooding over there because [SPEAKER_04]: It's probably not meant for you in habitation right now. [SPEAKER_04]: They're probably starting to realize that. [SPEAKER_04]: However, with the rainout for me on Saturday, he had asked me if I would be willing to get to the GameStop store. [SPEAKER_04]: Now, I posted a little video of it. [SPEAKER_04]: The GameStop store on Saturday. [SPEAKER_04]: And so I decided because I got rained out and it's eight o'clock in the morning and I'm driving back home. [SPEAKER_04]: I'm like, all right, I'll surprise them and say we're going to go. [SPEAKER_04]: So we got there for a store that opens at eleven o'clock. [SPEAKER_04]: We got there about eight forty five and I sat in the car. [SPEAKER_03]: Policy is going to school. [SPEAKER_04]: then I got in there at eight forty five and he was there put a camp chair in front of the door and was number one maybe a kid showed up an older kid showed up maybe about twenty minutes later to buy these cards yet a buy to buy these cards at at the market value before they get market high stuff I wouldn't even do that for McCartney tickets the good for him he really loves it that's how [SPEAKER_05]: Was there a substantial line right before the store opened? [SPEAKER_04]: Right before we could have gotten there at maybe ten, ten, fifteen and been fine. [SPEAKER_04]: They line up because there are certain number of these. [SPEAKER_04]: They give you a little card to get there. [SPEAKER_04]: And the girl that ran the store was super nice. [SPEAKER_04]: I liked her a lot. [SPEAKER_04]: She was cool. [SPEAKER_04]: Is it mostly kids or is it mostly creepy old man? [SPEAKER_04]: It's a good mix. [SPEAKER_04]: It's a variety pack. [SPEAKER_04]: It's the best mix of the eighties, the seventies. [SPEAKER_04]: No, what it was was it was Michael and then a kid that's college age and then a grandfather and a younger kid, then Michael and then I'm going to say upper teens early twenties. [SPEAKER_04]: would be the the the the the majority of the people I imagine if you were in the car you were watching the line because you had not much while I write the line up until a certain point but then he gets a keeper pack and an open pack so I got in line too with him so that he would be able to get uh... both its ridiculous did any policeman come up to you and ask for identification when you were standin
