Show notes

Mike drops $59 on the “unnecessary purchase of the day,” and naturally the mystery box demands a full on-air unboxing. Inside is a steam cleaner with enough attachments—and questionable possibilities—to launch Merchandise Tuesday into orbit. The boys also get heated over Red Sox–Orioles baseball, tariff trouble, baffling sleep advice, and the high-priced world of sports fandom. Josh reviews Will Ferrell’s The Hawk while Mike investigates an Alibaba watch that may be even less authentic than advertised. Robb finishes the fun with bargain-bin dogs, drumming, and Wolfman Jack’s surprising thoughts on personal hygiene.

[SPEAKER_05]: And now, here's Mike.

[SPEAKER_07]: Hey everybody, all right, we have found, finally, we have found the transition from the modern fun of our intro music to the tedious,

[SPEAKER_07]: laboring audio board that's play sounds it is robbs toy that he bought a king's dominion which which punctuates the segue I don't have to wait for click breathe buttons being put it's it's perfect because that just that that popping sound it covers everything it covers that look can we hear it again one more time please

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, louder, please.

[SPEAKER_08]: Well, it's okay.

[SPEAKER_08]: Well, I thought you were going to run that thing into the ground before the show even started.

[SPEAKER_08]: Not going to a third press.

[SPEAKER_07]: But when we go there.

[SPEAKER_07]: So everything sounds.

[SPEAKER_06]: And you know what, I wanted originally to do it live, but a little reverb.

[SPEAKER_06]: You were right.

[SPEAKER_06]: It just needs a little sweetness.

[SPEAKER_07]: And now every day, whatever music we have, it motivates me to go create some more intro music for the show and when you do that transition from the new to the old you will hear this.

[SPEAKER_07]: I was worth the $16, wasn't it?

[SPEAKER_07]: It was worth 100%.

[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_07]: Worth the 16.

[SPEAKER_06]: I got that and a candy apple.

[SPEAKER_06]: So I mean, it was a big purchase.

[SPEAKER_07]: Was my $59 purchase?

[SPEAKER_07]: By the way, we will get to the other purchase of the ridiculously inexpensive watch.

[SPEAKER_07]: But was my, and I wrote this down as the unnecessary purchase of the day,

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, was that worth $59 and that's that's what we started with $59 is a funny amount because if it's much less than $59, you can almost just sort of do it, you know, $50 is I mean, it's a lot of money.

[SPEAKER_07]: I'll point where you're like, you've really spent money.

[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, like I mean 50 $50 like if you're buying stakes at a box door, $50 or under get those from Omaha stakes a fine sponsor.

[SPEAKER_06]: Exactly.

[SPEAKER_06]: Well Mike, Omaha stakes you never have to spend a lot of money.

[SPEAKER_07]: But that's why it's 59.

[SPEAKER_07]: It's to get you under that six.

[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think it's like a gas station.

[SPEAKER_08]: Like a gas station.

[SPEAKER_08]: It's that 99 cents.

[SPEAKER_07]: All right, I'm ready to join our wonderful supporters on our YouTube page as well as you, gentlemen, and at home, feel free to play at home if you wish to, I guess, the unnecessary purchase of the day.

[SPEAKER_07]: $59.
