[SPEAKER_13]: Glad to have you with us today as my wife said to me today, morning came early.

[SPEAKER_13]: It did.

[SPEAKER_13]: It did in the O'Mara household, even though a very, very early to bed last night, just seemed to come a little early.

[SPEAKER_11]: Is that her own expression?

[SPEAKER_11]: Cause it's poetic.

[SPEAKER_11]: It's very nice.

[SPEAKER_11]: I've never heard that before.

[SPEAKER_13]: Maybe I slept through it.

[SPEAKER_13]: It's kind of an old saying.

[SPEAKER_12]: I like it.

[SPEAKER_12]: I'm working on one, too.

[SPEAKER_12]: The early bird gets to worm.

[SPEAKER_11]: How about this?

[SPEAKER_11]: Have you heard that one, Rob?

[SPEAKER_13]: Welcome to the Michael Emery Show.

[SPEAKER_13]: Well, well, it is, I don't want to say the schedule that I have here is frantic, but it's certainly a very busy one.

[SPEAKER_13]: And this year, my son has bus service out in the wilds of where we live, going to his school.

[SPEAKER_13]: So we used it for the first time today, and she said it went great.

[SPEAKER_11]: Where does the bus come like in front of your house or is there like a sound?

[SPEAKER_13]: No, we have to hit over to the local church.

[SPEAKER_13]: to, uh, okay.

[SPEAKER_13]: It's just about a two minute drive away.

[SPEAKER_13]: So it's not easier, but that's yeah.

[SPEAKER_11]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_13]: And it saves time.

[SPEAKER_13]: Um, my son, I, I had mentioned to you, uh, made the golf team, and then immediately he has his first practice.

[SPEAKER_13]: Um, schedule now will be, uh, golf practice on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, and baseball practice on, uh, we just lost John's for a second.

[SPEAKER_13]: on Thursday and Saturday.

[SPEAKER_13]: No, on Tuesday and Thursday.

[SPEAKER_13]: So he's got something every weekday every weekday every single, but I'm not sure if that's going to continue, but then we still have an added his third sport, which is rec baseball.

[SPEAKER_13]: which many many kids do that are into the the baseball.

[SPEAKER_13]: And that'll tie up some of the time to it.

[SPEAKER_13]: But the good news is this is a tested schedule that another parent recommended to me who I have a lot of faith in.

[SPEAKER_13]: So we shall see what goes on.

[SPEAKER_11]: But to be I hate to exhibit my lack of sportsmanship.

[SPEAKER_11]: But what is the difference between baseball and wreck baseball?

[SPEAKER_13]: He's on a travel team where they have tournaments on the weekend.

[SPEAKER_13]: And then his other wreck baseball will be having a game during the week.

[SPEAKER_13]: And then he's got, you know, and I love it.

[SPEAKER_13]: I love it.

[SPEAKER_13]: I think it's I've got the wherewithal Carlos got the wherewithal to haul them around and do that stuff.

[SPEAKER_13]: So I am and we even had time for for a little dinner at my favorite joint that you guys have been.

[SPEAKER_13]: Many, many holidays would, you know, suck a piece of roast beef or roast turkey into his windpipe and have a choking jag. [SPEAKER_13]: And I figured out yesterday that you shouldn't make fun of family members because genetically you have the same code. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, you won't become them. [SPEAKER_11]: Absolutely, but I think it's great that the the template was laid by Bill. [SPEAKER_11]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_11]: And I, you know, and we've got people like that in my family, too, that they really can be reduced down to like three numbers. [SPEAKER_11]: It's simple. [SPEAKER_13]: It's not pretty. [SPEAKER_13]: It's not pretty because the Omera family [SPEAKER_13]: I do it, even though I didn't, you know, my sister's seven years older than I was a lot of time when I was like, you know, seven years older, yes, she'd love you to say that. [SPEAKER_13]: And I can't. [SPEAKER_13]: So I mean, I'm in my house with just my folks for a lot of my teen years, while she was away at college. [SPEAKER_13]: And so I shouldn't have this, my father grew up with siblings, but the Omeras [SPEAKER_11]: we have a tendency to just shovel food into our mouths like there's nobody's business do you think you're in a small household so i mean i can see that like my mom was one of eight my dad was one of five five boys and dinner was put down it was a race yeah [SPEAKER_13]: And I think I probably could use that as an excuse if there were siblings in the house, but there weren't. [SPEAKER_13]: Now, with my cousins, John and Teddy and Billy, if Teddy and I are at a party and somebody puts out a platter, you're going to automatically see Teddy and I. [SPEAKER_13]: gravitate towards that, tightly, it's just what we do. [SPEAKER_13]: And it's not, it's not anything I'm proud of. [SPEAKER_11]: He's my favorite. [SPEAKER_11]: He sat next to Robert and I when we were in Maine and Robert was his first time cracking open a real lobster. [SPEAKER_11]: I mean, he had lobster, but he cracked it open and he pulled out, Robert pulled out a beautiful piece of claw meat and Teddy looked over and said, that stuff doesn't taste very good. [SPEAKER_11]: I should probably have that. [SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, it's the lobster jokes. [SPEAKER_13]: So here's what happens with my amcobiles Sheen. [SPEAKER_13]: Okay, because I can do an analysis of it. [SPEAKER_13]: He is bad. [SPEAKER_13]: Oh, he's bad. [SPEAKER_13]: Long set. [SPEAKER_13]: Okay, all my great memory I have of my amcobiles Sheen is that I'm walking out of my father's funeral. [SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, my father died, uh, due to smoking related illness, uh, we probably it was not around back then. [SPEAKER_13]: There was not the name COPD did not exist. [SPEAKER_13]: Right. [SPEAKER_13]: A particular point, but that's really what, uh, what did him in at the age of seventy seven. [SPEAKER_13]: And, uh, we walk out and I look across and [SPEAKER_13]: My uncle Bill Shin is with his gal pal, and he's immediately lighten up a choke. [SPEAKER_13]: Right, right in the crowd. [SPEAKER_13]: They could not get the cigarette. [SPEAKER_11]: I love people that smoke on church property. [SPEAKER_11]: Just think it's great. [SPEAKER_13]: But I've got a vivid memory in a green Volvo. [SPEAKER_13]: I will remember it for a long, long time. [SPEAKER_11]: Was the gal pal younger than Bill, or were they really contemporary? [SPEAKER_13]: She was a bit younger. [SPEAKER_13]: She's gone. [SPEAKER_13]: She's gone too now. [SPEAKER_13]: I mean, they're, you know, I'm old now. [SPEAKER_13]: So I know. [SPEAKER_13]: You know, when my mom passed away, my cousin Johnny, funniest line at my mom's a little memorial service, little reception afterwards said, well, that's it. [SPEAKER_13]: We're in the Undex Circle now. [SPEAKER_13]: That's the great guys. [SPEAKER_13]: I don't think when you guys shake your head like it's not reality. [SPEAKER_11]: But it is real and it's so sad. [SPEAKER_13]: It's a great circle of life. [SPEAKER_13]: So I think the combination of [SPEAKER_13]: just coal shoveling food into a mouth, and then not wanting to hear any other speaking except your own. [SPEAKER_13]: Thusly trying to speak and eat at the same time results in a problem of what happened to me. [SPEAKER_11]: In the past, you indicated maybe, or maybe I'm making this up, that it might have had something to do with Uncle Bill, with the dryness of the meat. [SPEAKER_13]: OK, let me get right into my situation. [SPEAKER_11]: OK, I didn't want to, I don't want to look ahead. [SPEAKER_11]: I just want to let all the factors be on the table. [SPEAKER_13]: There, you always look at Irish families, you always look for blank. [SPEAKER_13]: Yes, judge. [SPEAKER_12]: Well, I want to know what stage it says, because you enjoy other things there as well. [SPEAKER_12]: OK, good point. [SPEAKER_13]: Good point. [SPEAKER_13]: How it has to wait through halfway through. [SPEAKER_13]: And do you have another lung disease yourself? [SPEAKER_13]: Are you? [SPEAKER_13]: I'm constantly referring to that in your annual lung infection. [SPEAKER_11]: Um, I will get through it. [SPEAKER_11]: I really appreciate you calling attention to it because now I know everyone will root for you. [SPEAKER_13]: Only hacked three times since the show started. [SPEAKER_13]: So I'm just kind of curious as to your, your, your luck. [SPEAKER_13]: Do you have your, your thing that you get all the time? [SPEAKER_11]: I don't think so. [SPEAKER_11]: I think that they, uh, we had the house open yesterday because the lovely weather. [SPEAKER_11]: So it really could be all unrelated. [SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, it could be. [SPEAKER_13]: I, he, yeah, okay. [SPEAKER_13]: All right. [SPEAKER_13]: So I just hope you feel better. [SPEAKER_13]: Sorry. [SPEAKER_13]: I feel great. [SPEAKER_13]: Yeah, but don't play me because you were choking. [SPEAKER_13]: I mean, and this is a story about choking. [SPEAKER_13]: Maybe subconsciously I'm putting it in your your head. [SPEAKER_13]: I think choking and coughing. [SPEAKER_13]: Like if you laughed hard right now, you'd start coughing, right? [SPEAKER_11]: You'd have to say something funny. [SPEAKER_13]: Okay. [SPEAKER_13]: I could use one of my, I could read one of my dirty linux that I had for the above shows. [SPEAKER_13]: Same thing. [SPEAKER_13]: So, to answer Josh's question, and Josh is very attuned with what's going on, which makes him a delight to be around, and I will say this, and also a pain in the ass. [SPEAKER_13]: I was halfway through, and it was a hearty one, so the Margarita they served me, [SPEAKER_13]: was, you know, was definitely powerful. [SPEAKER_11]: Oh, when you said halfway through, I thought you meant halfway through the meal like post chips. [SPEAKER_13]: Probably the end of the meal for me. [SPEAKER_13]: Okay. [SPEAKER_13]: I think it was that. [SPEAKER_13]: And we are cheapy cheapes. [SPEAKER_13]: So we go Wednesday when it's half price day and then if you, it's practically free. [SPEAKER_13]: I'm not kidding you. [SPEAKER_13]: You get thirty percent off your bill if you pay with cash. [SPEAKER_11]: And do you? [SPEAKER_13]: Yeah. [SPEAKER_13]: Well, you're naked without cash. [SPEAKER_13]: No, Carlos won the pay. [SPEAKER_13]: She gets cash in her business. [SPEAKER_13]: You know, she gets tipped in cash a lot. [SPEAKER_13]: So she took care of it. [SPEAKER_13]: She had a real good day, but Michael, another one of his eighty fishing rods that he's got out in the garage too. [SPEAKER_13]: So we were in there. [SPEAKER_13]: And the meal consists of we very light. [SPEAKER_13]: Michael gets what did he get? [SPEAKER_13]: He got fish tacos and Carl and I split a small nacho platter. [SPEAKER_13]: That's it. [SPEAKER_13]: And I asked for the Tex Mex ground beef, which I think is kind of a traditional staple of nachos. [SPEAKER_13]: You know, that's an awesome one. [SPEAKER_11]: The nachos, th
