[SPEAKER_08]: Now I got a vent on the subject of tariffs watching my local news today, tariff tariff tariff tariff tariff.

[SPEAKER_08]: Really got to get it off my chest.

[SPEAKER_08]: You know, they've combined the NBC and ABC stations down here to form something.

[SPEAKER_08]: I think it's called Gulf Coast News.

[SPEAKER_08]: Okay.

[SPEAKER_08]: And it is a, you know, I guess they join forces when both of them were struggling against, uh, wink, which is the behemoth.

[SPEAKER_09]: That's your heritage station down there, right?

[SPEAKER_08]: That's the one, yeah, everybody kind of pays attention to and they've got all the money and they do that.

[SPEAKER_08]: And they have the old man, which old man?

[SPEAKER_09]: The weather guy that you like.

[SPEAKER_08]: No, he's gone, long gone.

[SPEAKER_09]: Oh, he died.

[SPEAKER_08]: He's very old.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah.

[SPEAKER_08]: No, he's not dead.

[SPEAKER_08]: I don't think he's dead.

[SPEAKER_08]: But he's a long retired.

[SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, David, David, he is now who I think as soon as the other guy retired he began eating a pretty steady diet of you know French

[SPEAKER_08]: Oh, well, you know, I love the fact that he wore in the early days of the weather forecast, maybe you're not, uh, not formed fitting as well as they were.

[SPEAKER_09]: I like the fact that it's in widescreen now, so you can really enjoy to win.

[SPEAKER_08]: Uh, and by the way, nice guy responded to me one time during, uh, the storms when I, I liked both of those guys.

[SPEAKER_09]: I mean, it appears that Jim Ferrell stole life. [SPEAKER_08]: That's good. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, retired. [SPEAKER_09]: He did go for twenty nine years at one station, though. [SPEAKER_08]: Yeah, great guy. [SPEAKER_08]: Good. [SPEAKER_08]: And a wonderful, calm presence during good time. [SPEAKER_08]: You know, it's amazing to me is that when you consider the network guys, sometimes they get all ramped up, whereas the, you know, and most of the local guys do the same thing, just in the weather channel, don't get me started with those guys, where they're like, no, no, no. [SPEAKER_08]: Farrell always, I'll never forget during one of the storms where he said, if we're going to take this track, you also have to take into account the mountains of Cuba. [SPEAKER_08]: And he was spot on. [SPEAKER_08]: And it was pre-in. [SPEAKER_08]: That was pre-in. [SPEAKER_08]: That's how long it goes. [SPEAKER_09]: Because that went away jumping and said, there's no mountains in Cuba. [SPEAKER_08]: There no mountains in Cuba. [SPEAKER_08]: Are you kidding me? [SPEAKER_08]: It just makes the guys there. [SPEAKER_08]: And he was right. [SPEAKER_08]: And we got the path didn't change, but the strength of the storm went down. [SPEAKER_08]: And by the way, very much top of mind as about one month from today, actually exactly one month from today. [SPEAKER_08]: I will be in the Dominican Republic if everything goes as planned. [SPEAKER_08]: And of course, when you're traveling in mid to late September, in the tropics, you have to be very much aware of a particular storm system. [SPEAKER_09]: I just hope that the trip is worthwhile and that you win your election. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, Rob is mentioned the fact that I am going to the DR to run for President Day. [SPEAKER_06]: And while you're talking about that, that explains the can. [SPEAKER_08]: Yes, absolutely. [SPEAKER_08]: Working out at every. [SPEAKER_08]: That's a little racist, but that's okay.
